In honor of 250Lex’s Coming Home Month, Origins Jazz Series makes its return to Tee Dee’s Lounge. For the first three years of OJS’s history, a majority of our shows took place at Tee Dee’s and it remains one of the greatest locations for music in our city. Hammond B3 organist Steve Snyder, a former Lexington local, will bring his hard swinging band to town. The band features Jason Tiemann, another Lexington jazz legend, back to town as well as Indianapolis-based musicians Sophie Faught (sax) and Joel Tucker (guitar). The band’s sound is soulful, fiery, and a perfect fit for the Tee Dee’s experience.
In total, it will be a celebratory night of music that both looks back and to the future. This is a concert that will leave you with a full heart and content soul.
Two Sets: 7:00pm & 9:00pm
Who will be into this?
This show will hit the spot for lovers of down-home, feel-good Jazz. This is especially true for lovers of Hammond B3 organ groups as the band channels artists like Jimmy Smith, Wes Montgomery, and Larry Young.
