Celebrate the 100th birthday of Miles Davis with an electrifying concert experience that honors the dark magus of jazz fusion. This special performance charts his most revolutionary era, the sonic shapeshifting that occurred between the ambient dawn of In a Silent Way and the synth-driven funk of Tutu.

Join for a deep dive into the cosmic, polyrhythmic grooves of recordings like Bitches Brew, a masterpiece that permanently shattered the boundaries between jazz and rock. Join the ensemble as they visit the rock of albums like Jack Johnson, the dense, hypnotic global rhythms of Pangaea and Agharta, and the blues-infused textures of Star People.

An all-star cast of Lexington area musicians joins Raleigh Dailey (Fender Rhodes/synthesizers) for this one-time event, including Marlin McKay (trumpet), Jacob O'Donnell (saxophone/ electronics), Ross Whitaker (guitar), Danny Cecil (electric bass), Paul Deatherage (drums), and Dave Farris (percussion). Expect searing trumpet lines, heavy electronic grooves, and relentless experimentation and improvisation. Experience the music of a visionary who refused to look back, celebrating a century of music that remains ahead of its (and our own) time.

WUKY Studios, formerly known as Saint Claire Recording Company, was built from the ground up as a recording studio that could compete with the best of the best in New York, LA, and Nashville. Unsurprisingly, the acoustics of the space are about as good as you’ll find anywhere. You can hear nuances in this space that simply get covered over in most concert environments. Suffice to say, this is a boutique listening experience that we are lucky to be able to provide at reasonable pricing.
